About Tom:

My dream as long as I can remember was to be an artist! It has been my paramount desire and goal, and in many ways I feel incredibly lucky to have found a way to make a living that is my passion, makes me happy and is down right FUN!
My artistic journey started early in my childhood, being raised in a family of artists in Great Falls Montana, I was encouraged to express myself creatively and develop an artistic sense about my life and the world around me.  I was influenced greatly by the impact of local western artist, CM Russell, as everyone there was. His contribution was enormous and created an active art community which has allowed generations  of young artists to see that, being an artist is something you can be!

I fell in love early on with the creative process and continued to visualize outward on my journey, experimenting in the visual arts, music and performing arts. From my early school years through college, my desire to paint was seriously supported by a following that provided artistic support and sales. Early on  professionally, my journey presented me with projects in the performing arts at the Worlds Fair in Spokane, then to the scenic art shops in Hollywood. Working on film and TV projects, and with entertainers where I continued to paint throughout this period. My access to these artistic elements continued to inspire the desire to work towards a career as a artist.
It was at that time that I took an aggressive approach to marketing my art in Los Angeles. I literally went door to door in office buildings on Wilshire Boulevard pursuing leads. I found a market niche with corporate interiors, a niche that has served me well and is still providing exciting opportunities 35 years later.  These days I continue to develop a broader palette, creating abstracts and landscapes, commissioned artworks, and publishing reproduction prints of my originals.  I continue to branch out and bring more of my interests into the imagery of my work, as in my Abstract Fly Fishing Flies, and the more intimate landscapes that reflect my love of the woods, waterfalls, and outdoors.
Now, well into my third decade of my career, I still feel an excitement each morning when I go into my studio and begin my days work, the possibilities seem endless.  I would like to invite you to follow me on my journey, you can find check in from time to time to see whats new and going on, or join my mailing list for updates.
